Dress Code

Dress does affect behavior. This is a Christian school that seeks to bring Christian scholars to maturity. This is serious business, and since dress does affect behavior, all students shall be required to wear the school uniform daily beginning on their first day of school, unless given an exemption from the Headmaster or Assistant Headmaster or approved for a special occasion (i.e. sports day, field trip, etc.).

The Danville Christian Academy uniform consists mainly of white tops and navy or khaki bottoms; however, the girls may wear the Danville Christian Academy plaid items sold in the Schoolbelles Uniform Catalog. Plaid items must be from the Schoolbelles Catalog and must be the Danville Christian Academy plaid.

Girls

Long or Short-sleeved Shirts
Navy, white or light blue button-down blouses
Navy, white or light blue rounded collar blouses
Navy, white or light blue polo shirts
Navy, white or light blue regular/mock turtleneck shirts
Navy or white T-shirts with DCA emblem
Thoroughbred Threads “DCA Warriors” screen print T-shirt in navy, white, or gray

Shorts, Pants, and Skirts
Navy or khaki short/pants (including cargo shorts/pants)
Navy, khaki or plaid plain or pleated skirt or jumper
Jeans may be worn on the first Friday of each month

Sweatshirts, Sweaters, Socks, and Tights
Navy or white

Shoes
No sandals, light-up sneakers, heelys or crocs.
Shoelaces must be tied

Accessories
Coordinating and simple jewelry and hair accessories are acceptable.

Boys

The uniforms may be purchased from Schoolbelles Catalog, Lands End Catalog, French Toast brand found at Sears or Target, Thoroughbred Threads on Main Street in Danville, or from any other store meeting the uniform requirements.

Warrior Wear is consignment uniforms offered through Danville Christian Academy’s Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) and uniforms may be purchased from PTF. Contact the school for information regarding Warrior Wear.

NOTE:

• Hair should be neat and out of the face.

• Shirts must be tucked into bottoms beginning with third grade.

• Hats, jackets, and coats shall not be worn in the building.

• Belts must be worn if pants/shorts/skirts have belt loops.

• It is important for students not to draw unnecessary attention to themselves and to show respect for others.
