Athletics

BASKETBALL: Teams will be open to both boys and girls from the 5th grade and up. The students will practice 2 or 3 times a week for 1 ½ hours. They will play in a league with other Christian schools during a season from late October to late January.

A Girls’ JV Basketball Team will be offered this year to 9th – 10th grade girls interested in playing within the Christian school league.

CROSS COUNTRY: Teams will be open to boys and girls from 1st grade and up. They will practice twice a week for about an hour after school in Millennium Park, beginning in August. Their meets will either be on Tuesday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Please check The Scroll for updates.

CHEERLEADERS: The DCA Cheerleading Team is formed from girls in grades 5 - 10 who are interested in the sport. The team practices twice a week for 1 ½ - 2 hours after school; practice schedule is cut back after games start in the fall.

Cheerleaders are committed to cheer on game nights that could possibly fall on any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday evening beginning late November through the end of February. Girls are not required to try-out and there is no limit on size of the group. Uniforms in school colors will be made available to the entire team.

GIRLS’ SOFTBALL: Teams will be open to girls ages 9-12 and ages 13-15 who are willing to practice twice a week for 1 ½ hours. These teams will compete against both regional Christian schools and the Boyle County Rec League. Competition with other Christian schools are during April and May; games with the Boyle County Rec League are in June and July.

The Boyle County Recreation Department also offers a Fall Girls’ Softball League that competes in August and September. DCA uniforms are made available to all team members.

SOCCER: A team will be fielded if there are enough students and parents willing to participate.
